Probate Administration: 
 
The firm handles all facets of  probate administration including formal administration (over $75,000)  and summary administration (for small estates under $75,000).  This  includes not only routine probate matters, but matters of a more  complex nature including spousal elective share, homestead, matters  concerning family businesses, complex creditor claims and other  non-routine matters.  The firm also handles ancillary probate estates  involving Florida assets for estates of decedents with wills drawn  and probated in other state jurisdictions. 
 
Probate Litigation: 
 
The firm handles probate  litigation matters including will contests, contests regarding  creditor claims, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and other claims  made against the estate’s personal representatives.  Representation  also includes representing surviving spouses in elective share  claims. 
 
Trust Litigation and  Beneficiary Representation: 
 
The firm also handles trust  litigation including construction and interpretation of trust  instruments, demands for trustee accounting, trustee breach of  fiduciary duty, matters concerning trust asset valuation as it  pertains to trust accounting and Federal estate taxation and similar  matters. 
 
Representation of Trustees  and Successor Trustees: 
 
The firm represents various  trustees and successor trustees.  In this capacity, advice is  provided as to trust interpretation, fiduciary duties, accountings,  asset valuation methodology, fiduciary income tax matters, trustee  compensation, relations with beneficiaries, and other similar  fiduciary accounting matters.  The firm also extensively handles  trust administration including matters involving the administration  of a revocable trust after the grantor’s/settlor’s death.
